Welcome to My Sunrais šŸŒž

A space for real motherhood, honest stories, and everything in between.

Hi, I’m Rachel (RaiRai šŸ’›), a mom of three navigating three very different stages of motherhood all at once—a newborn, a preteen, and a teen.

Some days it feels like I’m running three households at once, but I wouldn’t change a thing. Oh, and I homeschool too… because apparently, I like a good challenge.

šŸ’› Why ā€œMy Sunraisā€?

I named this blog My Sunrais because my kids are my sun rays. Each of them shines in their own way, and even on the hardest days, they are the light that keeps me going.

The spelling is a little different on purposeā€”ā€œRaisā€ is a nod to my nickname, RaiRai. Coming up with a blog name isn’t easy, but this one just felt right. It reflects both the light my children bring into my life and the journey I’m still walking as a mother.

🌿 Why I Started This Blog

I created this blog to share my experiences with pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood—not as someone who has everything figured out, but as someone who is still learning every day.

Writing helps me process these moments—the ones that fill your heart, the ones that challenge you, and the ones that quietly teach you something new about yourself.

If you’re new here, you might enjoy starting with my birth stories:

Each birth was different, and each one taught me something I didn’t expect.

If you’re preparing for a baby or navigating the early days of motherhood, you might also find this helpful:

Sometimes the little things make the biggest difference during those early weeks.

✨ What You’ll Find Here

This blog is a place where I share:

  • 🌸 Birth stories and the moments that brought my children into the world
  • šŸ¤ Motherhood lessons I’ve learned along the way
  • 🌿 Honest reflections about struggles, healing, and growth
  • šŸŒ… The quiet, beautiful ā€œsunrise momentsā€ that remind me why motherhood is worth it

šŸ¤ A Cozy Place to Land

Think of this blog as a cozy corner of the internet—a place where you can sit for a moment, breathe, and maybe feel a little less alone.

Motherhood doesn’t come with a manual, and every journey looks different. But one thing I’ve learned is that we grow stronger when we share our stories.

Whether you’re a first-time mom or a seasoned parent, I hope you feel seen, understood, and encouraged here.

Keep shining,
Rachel (RaiRai šŸ’›)
